TheLLCWiki (accessible at thellcwiki.com) is a free educational resource that provides plain-English guides and browser-based tools to help US small business owners understand IRS forms and business compliance. TheLLCWiki is not a law firm, CPA firm, or government agency.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Our form generation tools — including the S-Corp Election Generator (Form 2553), the IRS Name Change Letter tool, and all state formation guides — are built as client-side browser applications. This means:

• All form-filling and PDF generation happens locally in your web browser
• Business names, EINs, addresses, officer names, and other form data you enter are never sent to our servers
• We do not log, store, or have any access to the information you type into our tools
• We do not retain copies of any documents you generate
• No account or registration is required to use any feature of TheLLCWiki

3. Information We May Collect Automatically

Like most websites, TheLLCWiki's hosting infrastructure may collect limited technical information when you visit:

Server Logs

Our web host may automatically log standard access data, including IP addresses, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and timestamps. This information is used to maintain server security, diagnose technical issues, and understand general traffic patterns. We do not use this data to identify individual users.

Analytics — Vercel Analytics

TheLLCWiki uses Vercel Analytics to understand which pages and tools are most useful. Vercel Analytics is a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics service. It automatically collects the following information when you visit a page:

• Page URL visited
• Referring URL (where you came from)
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
• Country-level location (not city or precise address)

Vercel Analytics does not use cookies, does not track you across sessions or websites, and does not collect personally identifiable information. It does not receive any business information you enter into our form tools — that data never leaves your browser. Data is processed by Vercel Inc. and governed by Vercel's Privacy Policy.

Analytics — Google Analytics (GA4)

TheLLCWiki loads Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on every page. GA4 collects standard web analytics data to help us understand how our tools and guides are used, which pages perform well, and where visitors come from. This includes:

• Page views — every page you visit on thellcwiki.com
• Session signals — session start, first visit, user engagement, and scroll depth
• Traffic source — the referring URL or search query that brought you to the site
• Device and browser — device type, operating system, browser type and version
• Approximate location — derived from your IP address at the country/region level (not precise)
• Outbound link clicks — GA4 automatically detects clicks on links that leave the site
• Custom event: northwest_click — recorded when you click an affiliate link, tagged with the page and placement it came from

GA4 sets a cookie in your browser and receives your IP address, which Google uses to approximate your general location. Google may use this data in accordance with its own policies. Data is processed by Google LLC and governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

None of the data GA4 collects includes any business information you enter into our form tools — that data is processed entirely in your browser and is never transmitted to any server, including Google's.

Cookies

TheLLCWiki's own code does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Google Analytics, described above, is loaded on every page and sets a cookie in order to function — this is the only cookie placed on this site. Your browser may separately store session data to support tool functionality (such as holding form state while you navigate), but that data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us.

4. Third-Party Services

TheLLCWiki relies on a small number of third-party services to function:

Google Fonts

Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). When your browser requests these fonts, Google receives your IP address and browser information. Google's privacy policy governs this data. To avoid this, you may use a browser extension that blocks font requests.

Content Delivery Networks (CDNs)

Some JavaScript libraries used by our tools (such as pdf-lib) may be loaded from public CDNs. When a CDN serves a file to your browser, the CDN provider may receive your IP address. These libraries do not receive any form data you enter.

No Advertising Networks

TheLLCWiki does not use advertising networks, remarketing pixels, social media tracking pixels, or any other third-party advertising technology.

Affiliate Links

Some links on TheLLCWiki — for example, links to Northwest Registered Agent — are affiliate links. Clicking one takes you directly to the partner's site; the click itself is recorded as a Google Analytics event (see "Analytics — Google Analytics (GA4)" above), and no personal information is collected or sent to us. The outbound link to the partner may include standard tracking parameters (such as UTM codes) so the partner knows the visit came from TheLLCWiki. We do not receive any information back from the partner about what you do on their site unless and until they choose to share it with us as part of an affiliate program.

5. How We Use Information

Any technical information we or our hosting provider collect automatically is used solely for:

• Maintaining and improving website performance and reliability
• Diagnosing and fixing technical errors
• Understanding aggregate usage patterns to improve our tools and guides
• Protecting against security threats, abuse, and unauthorized access

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Data Retention

Because we don't collect personal data through our tools, there is no form data to retain or delete. Server access logs maintained by our hosting provider are typically retained for a limited period (usually 30–90 days) for security and debugging purposes, after which they are automatically deleted.

7. Children's Privacy

TheLLCWiki is intended for adults forming or operating a business. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

8. Your Rights

Because TheLLCWiki collects minimal personal data, most of these rights are satisfied by default — there is generally no personal data to access, correct, or delete beyond server access logs.
